Joy sets the standard in real estate settlements. She has conducted over 15,000 real estate settlements throughout the course of her career and brings that experience to work with her every single day. This level of experience makes unraveling tricky title matters or resolving potentially sticky situations second nature. It is Joy’s priority to make sure all parties have an excellent settlement experience and the reason why buyers and sellers request her again and again. Second only to handling settlements, Joy’s love is being a real estate continuing education instructor. Teaching dozens of classes per year, her goal has always been to make the toughest required classes the most enjoyable.
Joy has worked with the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, Contracts and Forms Committee for over 10 years and was named the GCAAR Affiliate of the Year for 2014. A native Washingtonian, Joy received her JD from American University and is a real estate attorney for the District of Columbia and Maryland as well as a licensed title agent in Virginia.
When not in the office, Joy may be out on an antiquing adventure or found commiserating with her chickens in her large organic garden. Want to know more?

When not in the office Lindsay, a 4th generation Washingtonian and a Redskins fan since birth, spends her time enjoying live music, skiing, traveling and running. She enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and the Boys and Girls Club of DC.
Lindsay brings litigation and insurance underwriting work experience to our team. In addition, her degree in Marketing and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and her JD from American University make her well prepared for busy days. During her 3 years with Settlement Ink, Lindsay has worked with residential and commercial buyers and sellers all over the DC Metro area. She is a Maryland and DC barred attorney and has experience ranging from first-time buyers to empty nesters, new construction to cooperative units, short sales to foreclosures and everything in between.

An avid baker and work out enthusiast, Krystal graduated law school in 2015 and relocated from Florida to the DC area in 2017 with her Yorkie, Bruce. She loves to travel, camp, and cheer on her favorite soccer team – Real Madrid.
Krystal received her JD from NOVA Southeastern University. Her legal career includes experience with insurance defense litigation. At Settlement Ink she examines and reviews title and works closely with buyers, sellers and agents to bring all the pieces together to get to the settlement table on time. Selling in DC? Make sure to contact Krystal regarding the DC TOPA (Tenant Opportunity Purchase Act). Her energy and rapport with clients makes her the perfect addition to our pre-closing team.

Karina is a sports aficionado, with a passion for playing soccer when not sidelined with pesky injuries. She’s a huge Barcelona fan, loves the San Antonio Spurs, and Ravens football.
Karina is a native Marylander with firm roots in Montgomery County. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park and earned her JD with a focus in Real Estate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She gained clinic experience with the Community Development Law Clinic helping new local Baltimore businesses with 501(c)(3) registrations and business formation. Fluent in Spanish, she began as a law clerk with Settlement Ink, and is now a vital part of post-closing. She brings her communication skills and panache for numbers to the table, making her an asset to the Settlement Ink team.
Fun Fact: She plays defense in the District Sports Soccer League, and her team won the Championship 2 seasons ago.

When she’s not thinking of creative events and marketing plans for Settlement Ink Hannah spends her time working out at the gym and planning her next vacation. You can often find her Pinteresting and hunting for new places to eat.
She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2016 where she studied Communication and American Studies. She worked in event planning and marketing prior to joining our team. Hannah is going to put her experience and keen eye for detail in getting the word out about Settlement Ink.
