Joy sets the standard in real estate settlements. She has conducted over 15,000 real estate settlements throughout the course of her career and brings that experience to work with her every single day. This level of experience makes unraveling tricky title matters or resolving potentially sticky situations second nature. It is Joy’s priority to make sure all parties have an excellent settlement experience and the reason why buyers and sellers request her again and again. Second only to handling settlements, Joy’s love is being a real estate continuing education instructor. Teaching dozens of classes per year, her goal has always been to make the toughest required classes the most enjoyable.
Joy has worked with the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, Contracts and Forms Committee for over 10 years and was named the GCAAR Affiliate of the Year for 2014. A native Washingtonian, Joy received her JD from American University and is a real estate attorney for the District of Columbia and Maryland as well as a licensed title agent in Virginia.
When not in the office, Joy may be out on an antiquing adventure or found commiserating with her chickens in her large organic garden. Want to know more?
